David Browne BL is a practising barrister specialising in the areas of administrative, local government, planning, environmental and procurement law.

 

David lectures in Administrative Law and is the course co-ordinator of the Advanced Diploma in Planning and Environmental Law in the Honorable Society of King’s Inns. He is the author of ‘The Law of Local Government’ and co-author of ‘Procurement Law in Ireland’ and is currently working on a third edition of ‘Planning and Development Law’ with the Hon. Mr. Justice Garrett Simons.

 

Prior to coming to the Bar, David carried out doctoral and postdoctoral research in sustainable transport, spatial planning and climate and energy policy. He has also worked as an advisor in the Department of Transport (between 2006 and 2009) and was an Associate in the Environment and Planning Group in Arthur Cox.
