Maeve is a Partner at McDowell Purcell Solicitors, specialising in environmental and planning law. Educated at Trinity College Dublin and University of Cambridge, she trained and qualified with a Top 5 corporate law firm, specialising in environmental and planning law. She now represents public bodies, including the Environmental Protection Agency and An Bord Pleanála. Her practice involves extensive environmental enforcement work across the country, multi-party judicial review proceedings at High Court, Court of Appeal and Supreme Court level, and planning and environmental law advisory work. 
She is the current Chairperson of the Irish Environmental Law Association, having previously held the positions of Treasurer and Secretary. She lectures on the Law Society’s Diploma in Environmental and Planning Law and appears at conferences and training sessions on current environmental and planning law issues.
